Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, as part of the Government’s Industrial Strategy, the final nine creative clusters have been announced following a year-long selection process. A new Policy and Evidence Centre and a National Centre for Immersive Storytelling will also be developed alongside the clusters. The AHRC Creative Economy Programme embraces the creative industries and cultural sector research from art & design, heritage to gaming, music, and film. The Creative Industries Clusters Programme will invest over £80m to deliver eight new Creative Research & Development partnerships bringing together creative industries with arts and humanities researchers. A collaboration between universities in the West of England – including Bath Spa – and businesses in the creative technology sector is to receive a multi-million pound investment from the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s (AHRC) Creative Industries Clusters Programme, to support, connect and amplify the brilliant work that takes place in the region.
